Rules and Specifications for the Victory Custom Trailers CRA Junior Late Model Series Released

Salem, Indiana (December 20, 2018): Champion Racing Association (CRA) officials have released the much anticipated 2019 Rules and Specifications for the newly announced Victory Custom Trailers CRA Junior Late Model Series, which will have its inaugural season in 2019. The Victory Custom Trailers CRA Junior Late Model Series is a new racing series in 2019 to focus on a youth movement for short track stock car racing that will see 10 to 15-year-old drivers compete amongst themselves for both experience and recognition in full size late models with an economical drive train and suspension alternatives.

“We are really excited to release the Rules and Specifications for the Victory Custom Trailers CRA Junior Late Model Series,” remarked R.J. Scott, Managing Partner of CRA. “We have done a ton of research on these, as well as gotten input from several people very involved in this industry. We hope these get race teams started on building cars for the series season opener, which will take place on April 28th at Flat Rock Speedway!”

Some of the key components for the rule package will be the mandated use of the $3900 factory sealed Chevrolet Performance 602 crate engine. All new engines will be purchased from JEGS through the series’ lone repair and certification partner in McGunegill Engine Performance. Teams will also be utilizing less expensive rear ends, transmissions and springs and shocks. The series will also be racing on 8-inch steel wheels and utilizing 8-inch Hoosier Racing tires.
