Tom Reffner wins Inaugural Oktoberfest 200 at New Speedway

Tom Reffner came home the winner of the inaugural Oktoberfest 200 late model stock car special at the LaCrosse Interstate Speedway in West Salem, Wis., on Sunday afternoon, October 4, 1970. The new 0.545-mile paved oval, located at the LaCrosse Interstate Fairgrounds, had just opened a few months earlier on Tuesday evening, July 14.

Air Titan Bound for Oktoberfest Race Weekend

Oktoberfest Race Weekend officials will have the latest in track drying technology available for this weekend’s 49th annual event at LaCrosse Fairgrounds Speedway. In a combined effort with NASCAR, the cutting edge Air Titan 2.0 will be heading north to assist with track drying operations should they be needed during the four day racing event.
